Deuces Wild is a fun video poker game because there are 4 wild cards inside the deck. This helps you get higher poker hands with greater ease since the wild cards can be substituted for any other card in the deck. The 4 deuces create different scenarios when you play the game. Depending on how many deuces you are dealt on the initial draw, follow the pertinent list below.

Each poker hand has a statistical probability, the better the poker hand the lesser chances there is of obtaining one. Based on these probabilities we can create an optimal strategy to help you decide what cards to holds on any given hand. To apply this strategy is easy; simply match your 5 initial cards with the highest card combination on the lists below.

If you have 0 Deuces on your initial draw, then hold in this order:
1. Natural Royal Flush
2. 4 cards to a Royal Flush
3. Straight Flush
4. Four-of-a-Kind
5. Full House
6. Three-of-a-Kind
7. Flush
8. Straight
9. 4 cards to an open-ended Straight Flush
10. 3 cards to a Royal Flush
11. Any Pair
12. Any Two Pair
13. 4 cards to a Flush
14. 4 cards to an open-ended Straight
15. 3 cards to a Straight Flush
16. 2 cards to a Royal Flush
17. 4 cards to an inside Straight
18. Discard everything and ask for 5 new cards

If you have 1 Deuces then hold in this order:
1. Wild Royal Flush
2. Five-of-a-Kind
3. Straight Flush
4. Four-of-a-Kind
5. 4 cards to a Royal Flush
6. Full House
7. 3 suited cards in a row such as 7,8,9 of clubs
8. Three-of-a-Kind
9. Straight
10. Flush
11. 4 cards to a Straight Flush
12. 3 cards to a Royal Flush
13. 2 suited cards in a row
14. Deuce ONLY
15. 4 cards to an open-ended Straight

If you have 2 Deuces then hold in this order:
1. Wild Royal Flush
2. Five-of-a-Kind
3. Straight Flush
4. Four-of-a-Kind
5. 4 cards to a Royal Flush
6. 2 suited cards in a row
7. Full House
8. 2 Deuces Only

If you have 3 Deuces then hold in this order:
1. Wild Royal Flush
2. 3 Deuces only with no pair
3. Five-of-a-Kind
4. 4 cards to a Royal Flush

If you have 4 Deuces then hold:

1. Royal Flush
2. 4 Deuces Only
